In a small set dressing team led by set decorator Yesim Zolan, we worked in several locations throughout South Tirol, Austria, Germany, Berlin and in Babelsberg studios to realise Malick’s moving story based Austrian Franz Jägerstätter, a conscientious objector, who refused to pledge oath to Hitler and to fight for the Nazis during World War II.
